One of the most amazing things to visit in Rome, are the fountains - magnificently created by the great masters of ancient times and still wonderfully present to this day. There are 50 monumental fountains and hundreds of smaller ones - actually 2000 in all, just in the city of Rome. The largest Baroque fountain is the Trevi Fountain, located in the center of the city. This masterpiece inspired many screen writers. In fact, the fountain has appeared in many films, of which a famous one is Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita". The Trevi Fountain is also known for coin throwing - using the right hand over the left should and at the same time expressing the desire to return to Rome one day. Being one of the most popular tourist attractions, many hundreds of people meet there every day to view and appreciate the artistic beauty.
